Topic: The Annual Awards Banquet - dinner at 6:30 p.m.
The Annual Award Banquet is always a great time. If you haven't been to one of our banquets yet, then don't miss this one! Tickets are $30 and must be purchased in advance or reserved. Ticket deadline is April 14th. On tap for the night is a chicken dinner, Italian soup, pasta, roasted potatoes, antipasto, desert, and coffee. Cash bar available.
AND AS ALWAYS we have a ton of raffle prizes for the night !!!. We have rods, reels, plug bags, spools of braid, plugs - plugs - and more plugs!!!! We have over $3000 worth of fishing tackle and more is coming !!! The grand prize is a custom surf rod built and donated by member Howard Reed of Galilee Bait & Tackle, Narrow River Custom Rods. It's a sweet 9-ft Lamiglas S-Glass surf rod. These rod blanks are impossible to find! We also have a Lamiglas Infinity Surf Rod valued at $560.You don't want to miss this night. The "Big Raffle"
Tickets will be on sale at the April Awards Banquet. This raffle is for a $450 Cash Card !!!
Tickets are $10 each and you can buy as many as you like. The raffle will be drawn at the April or May meeting depending on ticket sales.
Annual "Beach Clean-Up" Saturday, April 25th, 9:00 a.m.
We'll team up with Narragansett Pier Sport Fishing Club and meet at Meridee Bait & Tackle, 304 Point Judith Rd, Narragansett at 9:00 a.m., break-up and hit various fishing areas, then head back to Meridee's for a cook-out at 12:00 noon. Anyone with a pick-up truck would help.
"Kid's Fishing Day" Saturday, May 30th , 9:00 a.m., Carolina Trout Hatchery
The annual Kid's Day is always a hoot !!! So mark this date on your calendar. Club member Al Williams organizes and coordinates this fun time and makes sure there are plenty of trout for the kids to catch! We'll also have hot-dogs, unchies, and drinks. Rods, reels, and bait are supplied, but you can take your own if you want. We'll need a head
count for adults & kids, so more to follow soon.
